I once met a priest who was visiting from another part of the world. The Catholic faith is worldwide, so it is consistently a lot of fun in addition to truly interesting to meet people from other countries in the world. This particular man was from a poor area, which as you are aware, is quite unfortunate. The first evening he came to the US, he stayed in a seminary that has rooms with a bed, a dresser, as well as a light and A/C. He stayed awake all evening staring at the light, thanking God for the slightest bit of electricity. This is truly unlike us in our country. The majority of us don’t give a thought about electricity or Heating, Ventilation, in addition to A/C systems. The majority of us use lights in addition to A/C units all day, every day. The majority of us use cooling systems in the summer in addition to gas furnaces in the winter. The majority of us care about having good indoor air quality through the use of air filters in addition to hiring an HVAC business to scrub ductwork. All of us are truly blessed to be able to keep from freezing by starting up radiators in addition to heated floors in the cold months, and so many lives have been saved from heat stroke with the use of air conditioner systems in the hotter months. It periodically takes stories similar to the one of the man from the poor country to make us remember to be grateful for what all of us have. In his country in addition to various others around the world, millions of people do not have electricity, clean water, or air conditioners. I am so fortunate to have the up-to-date conveniences like gas furnaces in addition to A/C’s to use whenever I need them.
